Christmas meal campaign provides festive meals for academy pupils

Thanks to the generosity of local business, we have once again been able to provide pupils in our academies with a delicious Christmas meal.

In the UK, the number of children living in poverty is on the rise and yet many don’t qualify for a free school meal. At L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, we want to ensure no child or young person is forgotten at Christmas. Through our Christmas meal sponsorship campaign, our academies can provide a Christmas meal for their pupils before the end of term.

Bobby Thandi, Deputy CEO said, “This is the second year we’ve run the campaign and we are so grateful to our suppliers who have donated over £9,000 which will enable our academies to provide a hot Christmas meal to children who need it the most this winter.”

Our main sponsors this year are Nottingham based Relish School Food in partnership with EF-group.

Stefan McCran, Director of Operations at Relish said, “We are delighted to be working with L.E.A.D. Academy Trust feeding the minds of our young people this Christmas.”

A huge, big thank you to all our sponsors this year:  Academicis, Engaging Education, Fusion HR, Staff Absence Management, IMP Software, L.E.A.D. IT Services, PK Education, Slack & Rose, The Supply Register and Tanbry Construction Limited.
