Sculptures made by children at Edna G. Olds Academy to be displayed at the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery

6th May 2016

The Year 4 children at Edna G. Olds Academy have completed some art work as part of the David Ross Creative Schools Programme alongside an artist from the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery. The work the children have produced is inspired by our British Values curriculum and an exhibition they visited entitled ‘Moments Should Not Be Trusted’.

The children have created sculptures which will be photographed and go on display within the local area, before being taken to the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery to be exhibited. The children’s work will be going on display from Friday 6th May to Monday 9th May in the following places:

  • L.E.A.D. Academy Trust offices (The Ropewalk)
  • Sainsbury’s on Lenton Boulevard
  • Sainsbury’s on Derby Road
  • Tesco on Willoughby Street
  • Lorna Florist on Lenton Boulevard
  • Focus Gallery on Derby road (by Canning Circus)
  • Tim Fosters Hairdressers on Derby Road

We hope you will be able to visit these fantastic pieces of work on display and celebrate the work the children have completed.

After the local exhibition the work will be transferred to the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery over the weekend of the 14th and 15th May. This will be open to parents and other visitors.
