Assistant Headteacher – Leader of Teaching and Learning (2 posts) . Closing date: Friday 5th May 2017
Salary: Starting salary L7
Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy is a vibrant inner city school that was graded ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2015. Windmill is a culturally diverse inner city school with a dedicated team who are working tirelessly to improve the outcomes of children.
The school is undergoing a huge refurbishment plan which will see a complete remodelling of the front of the school and a superb modern interior with state of the art classrooms and enhanced teaching facilities. The school benefits immensely from being a member of a very forward looking and inclusive Trust where children can take part in STEM days, Bushcraft experiences and performing arts days which bring schools across the Trust together. Teachers throughout the Trust work in partnership and Windmill particularly works closely with Huntingdon Academy in St Ann’s.
These two posts would suit dynamic, forward thinking teachers who are looking for that next move from excellent classroom practitioner into leadership. Responsibilities and teaching commitments will be negotiated according to the strengths and interests of the successful candidates, however the primary focus of these roles would be leading and coaching teaching and learning across the school.
Both positions will start for September 2017 or earlier if possible.
