Huntingdon Academy is looking to recruit a creative and dynamic Chef Manager to lead and manage our in-house catering provision.
Contract type: full-time 37 hours pw (term time only - plus cover for training days and school events, open evenings, hospitality etc)
Huntingdon is a lively, multi-cultural, ‘outstanding’ inner city school, dedicated to attaining high standards for its pupils. The school has been described by Ofsted in previous years as an ‘oasis’ for the children it serves. It is an exhilarating and fulfilling place to work. The children in this school are delightful and keen to learn.
Huntingdon is part of the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust which is a dynamic cluster of schools committed to working collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for all children.
We recognise the strong link that exists between achievement and nutrition for children and therefore we are currently seeking to deliver outstanding catering facilities as part of our commitment to The School Food Plan initiative.
We have 300 pupils on role and 56 staff employed at the school and we are looking to provide a fresh, quality and healthy lunch service for pupils. This is in addition to raising the profile of healthy school food.
This is a tremendous opportunity for a creative chef to develop and lead something new, innovative and dynamic. In return you will enjoy the benefits of excellent working hours and holidays. Full support and training will be given by our experienced catering advisors, School Catering Support, using the established brand EATdot which is highly regarded by The Children’s Food Trust.

Huntingdon Academy is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced disclosure check by the DBS.
