Job description:

Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy is a vibrant inner city school that was graded ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2015. The changes at senior leadership have ensured that the school has embarked on a new era with great positivity and determination to move the school forward. Windmill is a vibrant inner city school with a dedicated team who are working tirelessly to improve the outcomes of children.

The school has undergone a huge refurbishment plan which has seen a complete remodelling of the front of the school and improvement of the teaching facilities. This is due to be completed in November. Teachers throughout the Trust work in partnership and benefit from many CPD opportunities and networks.

This permanent post will suit a teacher with experience of teaching in the inner city and NQTs will be considered. High expectations, determination and a passion for making a difference to the life choices for inner city children are strong prerequisites of the post.  Teachers are supported by a dedicated and experienced leadership team who put mentoring and coaching at the heart of their practice.

The position can start immediately or January 2018.

  • has high expectations of pupil progress;
  • is passionate about education and developing a love of learning in children;
  • has the skills to work collaboratively with the teaching team
  • can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents;
  • is willing to embrace or bring new ideas to the Academy;
  • a commitment to developing their own skills.

In return, the successful candidate will:

  • be joining a strong and dynamic team of professionals;
  • work in a school with high aspirations for all of its pupils and staff;
  • have access to the L.E.A.D. Urban Teaching School Alliance’s professional development programme;
  • be provided with excellent career opportunities.
