Job description:

The L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, based in Nottingham, is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer to support the management of the Trust’s finances and provide support in the following areas: 

  • financial planning, management and reporting;
  • procurement and contract management;
  • financial training support for schools;
  • accounting and governance. 

This post would ideally suit someone who has proven experience of working in a finance related environment. The successful candidate must have experience of using FMS or other finance software. Good interpersonal skills are essential along with the confidence and ability to communicate at all levels. A good standard of numeracy and literacy is also essential.  However, for the right candidate with relevant qualifications, training will be provided and applications from graduates are actively encouraged. 

This post is permanent and full time and will be based in Nottingham; travel between the schools will be expected. 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • is either partly qualified in accountancy  or an equivalent discipline, or holds relevant experience;
  • is personable and approachable;
  • has the ability to work under pressure;
  • has the ability to work confidentially;
  • has the ability to work as part of a forward-looking team.
