Job description:

As an experienced and self-motivated Governance professional, you will develop, implement and monitor governance policy and practice to ensure all statutory and compliance requirements are met for the Trust and across our Academies. 

In this newly created role, the key areas you will be responsible for will include:

  • Ensuring Trust governance standards and policy reflect current Ofsted and Safeguarding requirements, whilst playing an active role in embedding any changes required  
  • Using your expertise to ensure the flow of information between various layers of governance remains effective at all times
  • Leading on the recruitment, induction and training of Academy Advisory Bodies (AAB) members
  • Line managing a small team of AAB clerks
  • Leading on the management of the Trust Complaints Policy and Procedure
  • Acting as Trust Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with and constructively challenge a wide range of senior stakeholders. You will have a successful track record of providing competent Governance advice, ideally with a good understanding of the Education context. 

This is a full-time position and will be based in Nottingham, although travel between the sites in the East Midlands region will be expected.  In return, L.E.A.D. offer excellent benefits including, 30 days holiday plus a generous local government pension scheme.
