Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy (primary)
This role would be ideally suited to a forward thinking school leader who is looking to develop their own practice in a collaborative and supportive partnership. The potential rewards are enormous. Windmill is a vibrant, multi-cultural, inner city primary school dedicated to attaining high standards for its pupils. The successful candidate will need to have exceptional leadership skills and work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher to lead the school forward to its next stage of development.
The Head of School will lead the day-to-day running of the academy, lead the strategic development of teaching and learning across school and provide an outstanding role model for all. The Head of School will be supported in their role by the Executive Headteacher who has been leading the school since September 2012. The level and nature of support will be determined by the successful candidate’s previous experience.
Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy will open on 1st February, replacing Windmill Primary & Nursery School. The school will be sponsored by the L.E.A.D. Multi-Academy Trust, which has been supporting the school since September 2012.
The school is rapidly improving and is a genuinely enjoyable place in which to work. The school was recently praised by Ofsted (Nov ’12) for the rapid improvements it has already made.
