Job description:

Bishop Alexander L.E.A.D. Academy joined the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust in February 2014.  The academy, which is sponsored by L.E.A.D., is a vibrant and growing primary school situated in an impressive new building.

The L.E.A.D. Academy Trust is seeking to appoint either a Headteacher or an Executive Headteacher to Bishop Alexander L.E.A.D. Academy. The decision as to which role will be appointed will be taken once we have seen the final list of applicants.

This role would suit a forward-thinking, dynamic school leader who has a successful track record in school leadership and is looking to develop their practice in a collaborative and supportive partnership.

The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of the school and provide an outstanding role model for all.  The initial priority for the successful candidate will be to lead this newly sponsored academy to ‘good’ as rapidly as possible, but beyond that there is potential for further professional development, including executive roles across the Trust.

We are looking for someone who:-

  • is an outstanding practitioner with proven experience of accelerating progress who can raise standards;
  • is an inspirational leader who can lead by example;
  • has proven experience of whole-school leadership and the ability to communicate a clear vision for school improvement;
  • is an outstanding team player;
  • has the ability to work successfully with a diverse community with a variety of needs;
  • has the ability to work as part of a forward-looking strategic leadership team.

  • Wednesday 26th February 2014 – 2.00pm
