Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy has a unique opportunity to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the wonderful children in our school. Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy is a vibrant inner city school that was graded ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2015. There have been recent senior leadership changes and the school is embarking on a new era with great positivity and determination to move the school forward. Windmill is a vibrant inner city school with a dedicated team who are working tirelessly to improve the outcomes of children.
The school is undergoing a huge refurbishment plan which will see a complete remodelling of the front of the school and a superb modern interior with significantly upgraded classrooms and enhanced teaching facilities. The school benefits immensely from being a member of a very forward looking and inclusive Trust where children can take part in STEM days, Bushcraft experiences and performing arts days which bring schools across the Trust together.
This post would suit a teaching assistant with experience of teaching in the inner city and who has high expectations, determination and a passion for making a difference to the life choices for inner city children. We are developing a team of Level 3 Teaching Assistants across the school to lead different initiatives. This post would be initially based in a KS1 class and would involve PPA cover. You will be supported by a dedicated and experienced Leadership Team who put mentoring and coaching at the heart of their practice.
