Working hours: 37 (Mon to Thurs 8:30 – 16:30, Fri 8:30 – 16:00)
 
Location: 10 Mercia Marina Findern Lane, Willington DE65 6DW

L.E.A.D. IT Services was incorporated in 2010 and joined L.E.A.D. Academy Trust in September 2016.  Over the years we have expanded significantly increasing both our team and the number of customers accessing our services. We specialise in supporting the education sector working with nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and specialist schools. As well as L.E.A.D. Academy Trusts 25 schools we also support many more trusts nationwide.
 
Our offices are based at Mercia Marina in Willington which has ample free parking and is easily accessible via bus or train from Derby or Burton on Trent. The open plan office is bright and airy with large windows overlooking the marina and a fully equipped kitchen with a break out area. With many of the team being here from the start and lots who have joined along the way this small knowledgeable, friendly team really is great to be a part of.
 
We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician, this is an exciting opportunity and would be ideally suited to someone who can deal with new challenges and adapt to the demands of the business.
 
Specifically, you will be responsible to assist in the servicing, maintenance and upkeep of computer systems and to provide technical support across the Trust and to schools outside of the Trust through L.E.A.D. IT Services.
 
To be successful, you will have:
 
  • recognised IT qualification and or/ proven experience of working in an IT environment.
     
  • IT support experience in a customer focused environment
     
  • experience with the installation of Data Cabling, Phone Cabling and other fixed equipment
     
  • experience of trouble shooting in a network environment.
     
  • high level of oral and written communication skills.
     
  • able to install and diagnose issues for a range of IT equipment.
     
  • able to work to tight deadlines, managing and prioritising time effectively.
