Huntingdon Teaching School - Teaching School Manager

Temporary until Autumn 2015 pending a Teaching School re-designation review

Part-time (22.5 hours per week)


The Strategic Partnership Board of Huntingdon Teaching School is seeking to appoint a manager to start as soon as possible, initially on a part time basis but this may increase in the future.  The post of Teaching School Manager is an exciting opportunity to work amongst an alliance of dynamic primary schools in Nottingham City and Leicester. The alliance has a specific focus on education in urban settings and is called the L.E.A.D. Urban Teaching School Alliance. Through strong partnership working, the Teaching School is committed to provide specialist expertise in teaching and leadership.

The Strategic Partners are looking for a creative educational professional to direct, develop and manage the activities of the Teaching School Alliance.

The post holder will:


  • provide high quality, operational management for the L.E.A.D. Urban Teaching School Alliance programme;


  • maximise the potential of the alliance to enable teaching staff at all levels to develop professionally;


  • be a creative and innovative manager who will enable the alliance to be successful in a demanding and changing education  landscape.


The post holder will be based initially at Huntingdon Academy.
