Outstanding Trustees Sought - L.E.A.D. Academy Trust

Closing date: 26/10/2012
Salary: £ Unpaid (reasonable expenses will be available)

Job description:

Outstanding Trustees Sought

The L.E.A.D. Academy Trust is distinct in how it combines autonomy and collaboration across key areas of leadership and management, and underpins this with shared vision, values and best practice.

The acronym L.E.A.D. embodies the four core principles at the heart of the Trust: strong leadership at every level; empowering every child to aim high; giving every child the opportunity to achieve and constantly driving for improvement.

Currently comprising of five primary schools in the Nottingham area, the Trust will soon include two more, and is attracting interest from others nationally.

We now want to strengthen our board of trustees with additional members who can bring successful experience in leadership, challenge, innovation, organisational development and/or governance from their own professional backgrounds.

The posts are unpaid but reasonable expenses will be available.  Becoming a trustee provides great benefits for the individual, broadening insight and expertise as well as making a positive difference to the education of children.

A letter of application and CV should be sent to Louise Bird, Huntingdon Academy, Alfred Street Central, St. Ann's, Nottingham, NG3 4AY by October 26th.

For an informal discussion phone Diana Owen, Chief Executive, via Louise Bird on 0115 9156841.  More details of the Trust and the role of trustee can be found at www.leadacademytrust.co.uk.
