Year 6 Class Teachers (2 posts) both with a TLR 2 for Leading Achievement at Upper Key Stage Two.

Windmill L.E.A.D. Academy is a vibrant inner city school that was graded ‘Good’ in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2015. There have been recent senior leadership changes and the school is embarking on a new era with great positivity and determination to move the school forward. Windmill is a culturally diverse inner city school with a dedicated team who are working tirelessly to improve outcomes for children.  

The school is undergoing a huge refurbishment plan which will see a complete remodelling of the front of the school and a superb modern interior with state of the art classrooms and enhanced teaching facilities. The school benefits immensely from being a member of a very forward looking and inclusive Trust where children can take part in STEM days, Bushcraft experiences and performing arts days which bring schools across the Trust together. Teachers throughout the Trust work in partnership and Windmill particularly works closely with Huntingdon Academy in St Ann’s.

These two posts would suit dynamic, excellent classroom practitioners with at least 3 years proven experience looking to deepen and develop their teaching practice in Year 6 initially but looking innovatively to expand their practice across upper Key Stage Two.  They will be supported by a dedicated and experienced leadership team, intervention teachers and tutors to improve outcomes at the end Key Stage Two.

Both positions will start for September 2017.
