Uplands Junior Academy introduces youngest bilingual book series author

In a world where storytelling knows no boundaries, Uplands Junior Academy considers itself extremely fortunate to introduce 9-year-old Hrikkrish Biswas who is currently the youngest bilingual book series author. Through his inspiring stories in the Animal Adventures series, Hrikkrish is already captivating readers in both English and Bangla.

Both stories in the Animal Adventures series are available to read in English and Bangla.

The first book, Ducky’s Adventure of the Farm is a story about a duck called Ducky who after venturing out through an open gate makes lots of friends during her adventure on the farm. Milan’s Adventure of the Rainforest is the second book which features Milan the spider monkey who is being chased by a jaguar, a puma and a leopard but while he is running away, Milan manages to warn all the animals he can find along the way.

When asked what inspired him to become an author, Hrikkrish replied, “I wanted to write a book because in every book I read, events never occur the way I want them to happen. I had written a book because that way, I could control the plot and the characters. Plus, this is also for my sister Rindhita, so she can read it when she grows up.”

Hrikkrish demonstrates the wonderful diversity and richness of diverse cultures and languages at the Leicester school.

Staff and pupils at Uplands are very proud to support and celebrate Hrikkrish’s incredible achievements. They are looking forward to witnessing his continued growth as a young, bilingual author and most importantly, reading the next instalment of the Animal Adventures series.
