Jubilee L.E.A.D. Academy celebrates as Ofsted praises the school for its “high expectations of pupils’ success.”

The Nottingham primary school, part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, was commended by inspectors for ensuring “pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), work very hard and achieve well.”

Ofsted also highlighted how “parents are overwhelmingly positive about the school, describing it as a fantastic and amazing place to be.”

Inspectors noted the school has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection, where it received ‘Good’ across the board – stating, “since its last inspection, the school has gone from strength to strength.”

The inspection report is full of positive highlights, including:

  • “The school has meticulously designed a bespoke curriculum to suit the needs of its pupils.”
  • “Pupils model the school’s ‘bright values’, which include being brave, resilient and industrious.”
  • “They celebrate the rich diversity of the school community and say with pride that everyone is welcome at the school.”
  • Inspectors also noted that “from the moment that you enter the school, it is clear that this is a nurturing place to learn, where pupils flourish.”
  • “Older pupils are excellent role models and take pride in helping their younger peers around the school.”
  • “Pupils’ personal development is a strength of the school.”
  • “There is a wealth of opportunities for pupils to take on roles of responsibility. These help pupils to develop their leadership skills.”
  • “The school’s pupils receive a wealth of wider experiences. From visits to sports stadiums to singing in the local area, pupils’ learning is strongly enriched.”
  • “Children in the early years are provided with the skills and knowledge they need to access further learning when they join Key Stage 1.”
  • “Reading is a top priority here. Staff ensure that pupils develop a love of reading.”
  • “Pupils who are new to English or to the school are supported effectively to become fluent readers.”
  • “Children begin to learn to read as soon as they start in the early years. They receive a strong start to their education.”
  • “The school has carefully created an environment that helps children practise and develop their language and number skills.”
  • “Pupils with SEND have their needs accurately identified. The school provides the precise support that these pupils need.”
  • “Governors and trustees have effective oversight of the school. Staff are proud to work here. They value the consideration given to their workload and well-being.”

Head of School, Ross Brooks, said:

“We are absolutely delighted with this report. At Jubilee, we aim to be a place where children thrive, not just academically, but in every aspect of their development.

“Our pupils and community are central to everything we do, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see that reflected so clearly in the feedback. It’s a real testament to the commitment and hard work shown by the whole school team.”

Nicola McIntyre, Executive Headteacher, said:

“We’re really proud of Ross and the entire Jubilee team for this fantastic report. Staff work hard every day to create an inspiring environment and support every pupil to succeed.
This result is hugely deserved and a wonderful recognition of their dedication and impact.”
