The Birley Academy is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Geography to join the team from September 2025.

This is a classroom-based role with responsibility for delivering high-quality Geography teaching, promoting excellent behaviour and supporting pupil progress across the subject. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising aspirations and outcomes through effective planning, subject knowledge and inclusive teaching.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that build on prior knowledge.
• Promoting a safe, stimulating environment and high expectations for all pupils.
• Monitoring progress, setting challenging goals and supporting pupils to achieve them.
• Managing behaviour in line with school policy and modelling respectful conduct.
• Contributing to curriculum development and subject-wide improvement.
